Spring is almost here...
Officially, Tuesday 20th March is the first day of Spring. Already, we've noticed households getting the urge to freshen things up and renew their carpets, rugs & upholstery. Here at GREEN MAN HQ, we've spent the last month upskilling and ensuring all our carpet & upholstery cleaning equipment is in good shape for the year ahead.
I'd like to congratulate our two main techs, Gareth & Ross, on passing the Solutions UK upholstery course. Now the whole team is able not only to deep-clean upholstery, but also low moisture and dry clean a wider range of fabrics, including velvet. This involves a much deeper understanding of fabric types and the solutions/techniques necessary to treat them.
Regular retraining is essential for us to both maintain the professional standard of our work, but also to ensure we are up-to-date with the latest innovations in our industry. As we've mentioned in previous posts, the solutions available to the carpet/rug/upholstery cleaner have evolved at an astonishing rate over the last decade. Of particular interest to us (and our customers) is the range of environmentally sustainable products available.
Many carpet cleaners continue to use heritage brands as they provide a familiar name and an easily understood chemistry. These products tend to still be based around industrially formulated detergents. While detergents continue to perform many functions within the household, their role in the carpet cleaning world is recognised as much diminished by those in the know.
So, as Spring approaches, why not get in touch and ask us how we might bring the fresh, clean and reviving sensations of Spring into your home??
